Parliamentary Prayer Scotland Conference

Christians Count Director, Andy Witty, is pleased to be involved in the Parliamentary Prayer Scotland's one day conference on Faith and Politics at the Scottish Parliament on 26 February 2011.

The aim of the conference is to help prepare the church for the Scottish elections on 5 May.

Andy is chairing the afternoon session that involves a mock husting event, involving a panel including:

  • Murdo Fraser MSP
  • Karen Gillon MSP
  • Gordon Macdonald, prospective candidate
  • Donald Boyd, prospective candidate

In a statement Andy said "I am so pleased to support this event because as we build up towards the May elections, prayer will be such an important element. The conference will also be a help for churches and their leaders to be ready for the elections and to encourage Christians to engage with the vote"
